Our Values

SeaRoc is committed to the UN global compact, a universal standard of social and environmental principles. For information on this, visit www.unglobalcompact.org.

A review of our Ethical Policy is conducted on a regular basis. This involves all staff in assessing progress and delivering improvements in policy management. Our Ethical policy is based around four principles:

  • Putting People First

SeaRoc is committed to equal opportunities. Assessments of potential employees and opportunities for promotion within SeaRoc are based solely on aptitude and ability.

We have a zero tolerance policy to harassment and bullying and are active in consulting with employees to solve any problems and improve the working environment for employees.

The welfare and development of its employees is central to Searoc company culture.

We actively support the UN Declaration of Human Rights and will not work with companies whose activities contravene it.

  • Working for a Sustainable Future

SeaRoc are specialists in the Marine Renewables Sector and have made a commitment to working only with the Renewable Energy Industry. The company believes that low carbon energy sources are an important part of protecting the global environment and are active in promoting renewable energy.

We are committed to working with our project partners to reduce environmental impact throughout the project lifecycle.

Within the company we are committed to improving resource and energy efficiency including recycling schemes and energy reduction assessments to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Excellence in Health and Safety

SeaRoc is involved in the health and safety aspect for many client projects and we are fastidious in promoting best practice rather than just responding to minimum legislative standards. We are actively involved in promoting the importance of health and safety both through working with our clients and through industry forums.

SeaRoc staff members are always appropriately qualified for their roles and benefit from regular health and safety training.

Occupational health and safety is paramount. SeaRoc has a nominated, trained health and safety officer who reports directly to senior management and regular reviews are carried out on both facilities and safety procedures.

  • Supporting Good Causes

Searoc is active in promoting civic responsibility in our local area and we are working on development projects with local schools and groups, sharing skills and donating funds.

We also actively support our chosen charitable causes; employees are encouraged to volunteer some of their time for charitable work and are supported in this by the company.
