SeaPlanner™

'The essential planning tool for construction, operations and maintenance activities offshore.'

SeaRoc provides marine co-ordination services to assist with the construction, operation and maintenance of offshore renewable energy assets and infrastructure. Effective marine co-ordination requires a great deal of relevant and live data to be constantly available to the marine co-ordination team.

In support of our marine co-ordination services, SeaRoc has developed SeaPlanner™, a specialised planning tool. SeaPlanner™ is a powerful desktop application based on a GIS database that captures and displays data relevant to offshore construction and the operation and maintenance phase. It provides the marine co-ordination team with immediate and essential information necessary to make timely and effective decisions.

SeaPlanner™ is a unique application, designed specifically for the offshore Renewable Energy Sector. The functionality effectively supports:

  • Strategic planning
  • HSE management and decision making
  • Interface management

The product enhances the efficiency and safety of operations, and will deliver significant cost savings for construction, operations and maintenance activities offshore.

Vessel Status

SeaPlanner™ utilises AIS Live feeds to provide the marine co-ordinator with live Vessel Positions and on-site vessel specific information.

Assessing Environmental Factors

SeaPlanner™ shows site specific wind, wave and swell forecast data. Tools allow incremental changes to the weather forecast display for up to 72 hrs ahead. Long and short term forward planning is facilitated by site-specific tide predictions. SeaPlanner™ displays live weather, wave and tidal feed data from site met masts; this facilitates comparisons of forecast and actual weather allowing trend analysis.

Emergency Response

A breach of forecast weather, wave or tide threshold parameters raises an alert and highlights vessels in potential danger. This allows the Marine Co-ordinator to make informed strategic decisions affecting the safety of operations.

Site Data

Relevant site features are displayed on the map interface:

  • Turbines
  • Cables
  • Ports
  • Navigational features
  • Geophysical data
  • Geotechnical data

Data relating to these features is instantly available to the marine co-ordinator; by clicking on the relevant feature the information is displayed. Turbine and cable status can be changed allowing an instant and up-to-date view of installation phases and operational status.

The Essential Marine Co-ordination Tool

Our product is a fully interactive, site specific tool allowing safe, effective and cost efficient marine co-ordination throughout a project lifecycle.
