Simon Gulliver

Senior IT Project Manager

"I have worked in IT for over 30 years, developing leading commercial implementations of groundbreaking technologies including CD-ROM databases, digital video, Bluetooth, mobile email and hosted web applications.

I also designed and developed the SeaPlanner system specifically for offshore renewables."

Dominic Stratton

GIS Manager

"I'm the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Manager at SeaPlanner, and I'm responsible for data management requirements and also creating bespoke mapping solutions for a number of high profile developers in the offshore renewables industry.

I have an MSc in GIS and have been working in the renewables sector for the last three years with tasks ranging across the whole lifecycle of renewable projects; such as GIS analysis for Environmental Statements of offshore wind farms, to large scale GIS data management projects, and creating an extensive in-house database of marine constraints.

The most enjoyable part of working for the SeaRoc Group is that the work is motivating; it's very interesting working on a wide range of renewable projects. At SeaPlanner we are also developing innovative web applications for the renewables market so there is always some dynamic project to work on."

Maz Islam

GIS Analyst

"I am an Analyst for SeaPlanner and support clients with their geospatial information; this includes manipulation and data management. During the lifecycle of offshore wind farms it is vital that geographic information is analysed so that environmental constraints, obstructions and infrastructure can be worked around safely and efficiently.

I've recently been working on preparations for a round 3 bid; this has involved taking information from different sources and building a database of constraints. I'm looking forward to seeing this project progress and mature.

I've worked in GIS for 10 years; some of this was spent in town planning in Bangladesh and I've also worked in a charity and a large telecoms company in London. Prior to this I studied World Planning in Bangladesh and then continued my studies in Holland where I did a Masters in GIS.

I began working at SeaPlanner because I saw offshore projects as a new challenge and different to the work I had done previously."
